Original "workshop" recording of of the new college Pop-Rock musical THE GREEN ROOM - a four character musical that traces the college careers of four students and their struggles to relate to each other, to find a place in the world around them, and to prepare to jump off the precipice of sheltered life into the real world.

Music that is current but wide in range from Pop to Rock to Sondheim to Blues.

The comedy song "It's All About Me" was the winner of the 2005 Songwriter's Guild of America Musical Song of the Year.

Fabulous
These gems have been waiting in the wings for a while. Now the world can savour them. Standing O's are the norm for all of these songs done live but now a private performance can be had over and over. Delightful, cheeky and intelligent! A must have for any musical theatre performer or lover.

Worth Listening too
It si rear in this day and age to find an orginal work, something new and creative. This gen, this dimoand in the rough is just such a case. The music is well wriiten and becomes lodged in your brain with wonderul lyrics and mezericing melodies.

A shame this show hesn't made it to the big stage yet, becouse there is a lot of potental. One of those hidden treasures which will make a big splash on stage.

I woudl recomend this CD to anyoen who is a fan of broadway, or collector of fun music rangeing from the "showtune" to the "caberate" with a mix of light rock and blues, a perfact combo of music.

The story alos seem to work, a show many people can relate to and understand, many peopel went to college, and know the pain and trouble college life brings, captured in the miusic so well. I almost see myself in eqch song, as of it was written about me. I beleive almost anyone can relate.

Like it Right Away
The soundtrack songs are very visual. If you haven't seen the play the songs make you want to rush out and grab a seat. Favorite song has to be "Nothing Can Stop My Boys". Surprisingly funny, honest and catchy.

A very funny musical!
This is one of the funnest CD's I've ever listened to. Each song of this 4 character musical stands on it's own. There is the hysterical "It's All About Me" (One of the greatest theater songs I've heard!) and the funny "Nothing Can Stop My Boys" (A young man's battle cry of getting his girlfriend knocked up). And the ballads are pure genius "It Comes Easy" and "Waiting in the Wings" are pure gems waiting to be theater classics. You won't be disappointed!

The Green Room CD offers songs that are reminicent of Cole Porter, soulful like the Blues, and energetically showstopping. Styles vary from the sultry, clever Dear John song to tight harmonies of a Madrigal. Lyrics offer intelligent irreverance and the composer is chameleon-like, offering vibrant, witty, and sometimes sensitive tunes. All effortlessly meld with the lyrics to offer a creative, varied storyline. The Green Room is stylish and ecclectic, a smart new musical.

This musical is so hot it can slice through the Superman Butter Sculpture at the Iowa State Fair in a single stroke.

All theatre-goers and those who participate in theatrical productions in any way whatsoever will truly enjoy and appreciate this magnificent piece of work depicting the passion AND cold reality of those who try to make it in a highly competitive industry.

This is not your typical Rice/Weber musical wherein the music is repeated over and over but with different lyrics. This musical exposes the listener to every style of music under the sun. EVERYONE will find a song in The Green Room that caters to their particular taste.

I will be passing my CD along to area theatres of which I belong and have great influence in to encourage them to produce TGR. It is by far one of the better new musicals out there.

Inventive, fun and funny. The vocal arrangements are outstanding!
The Green Room is a welcome addition to the theater community. It is inventive and funny, the characters (only 4!) are interesting and well-drawn, and the music - in a variety of styles - is first rate. On this recording, each performer gets a chance to shine and the vocal arrangements are nothing short of amazing. The CD makes you want to see the show. What more can you ask?

Why Isn't This Show On Broadway?
I'm a musical theatre aficionado obsessed with collecting all types of cast recordings. I've seen every musical that has opened on and off Broadway in the past thirty years. And it's a rare and wonderful thing to stumble upon an original new voice in the theatre. Chuck Pelletier is just that. His music is smart, sophisticated, clever, and most of all fun. Some smart producer should jump on this show and mount a Broadway production, where it would certainly run for a long time. And if It's All About Me doesn't become the most performed audition song, I'll eat all my old LPs.
