Album Notes

Crash Kole was drawn to the blues like an alcoholic to a whisky bottle. When he was growing up, his father would play old Lighting Hopkins and T-Bone Walker records and Crash was mesmerized. As a teen, he would sneak into the Chicago blues clubs and play guitar with anyone who was willing to jam with him. Eventually, Crash started leading his own bands and became a regular performer at many of Chicago’s world-class blues clubs, including the infamous Wise Fools Pub.
In 1998, Crash relocated to Memphis and formed Crash Kole and the BlueSouls. In addition to touring, the band performs regularly on Beale Street and at many other local hotspots. Crash is well-known for his scorching guitar work and the raw emotion of his singing and playing and the band has earned a reputation as one of Memphis’s most riveting live acts.
