All the songs on our album are stories. Real stories. Written and experienced by Brian Krashpad, the lead singer and song writer of Crash Pad. From the opening song "Cops and Punks" that addresses authority and those that challenge it, to the rock style blues homage of "Hothead," the finality of Buffy's Dead (influenced by an old TV show), or the album ending track "Stevo" about the death of a former band member, each song comes from real life.
Though Crash Pad has been around since 1996, this is the bands first album, and it's vinyl. Brian Krashpad has always been the songwriter, lead singer, and lead guitar player, though the other members of the band have changed over time. When the current lineup of Brian, along with Bruce "Nigel" Barkwill on drums, Joel Schrek on bass, and Mitch Estic on rhythm guitar formed, everything came together. The sound Brian wanted, the musicianship, the stage presence and of course, the fun. This union, of Brian, Bruce, Joel and Mitch is what caused this first album to come into existence. We hope you enjoy it. We had a blast making it.
