An accomplished album & Great vocalist.

This is a great album that should be listened to from start to finish. Get a copy, open a nice bottle of wine and sit down & take it in. This is not a vehicle for a few commercially viable tracks, which is a rarity in the charts. 'I Know' & 'The Moment' are two of my favourites and the arrangement of both tracks is beautiful. I hope you enjoy this album as much as I did... I know music is completely subjective - but anyone who listens to this will appreciate the craft behind it & attention to detail displayed from the packaging through to the production values & song ordering.

Songs to make you think a little bit longer...

Browsing through the rock pages here at CD Baby is a minefield - some finds are mediocre at best and some are too similar to what is already done and dusted. Not so for crazy6. This album felt like a record from start to finish, although there were times when I had to listen twice to a track to "get into it." Arrangements are consistent but confident and tracks have a tight but non-rigid feel to them, particularly in "I Know", "The Moment" and "Stagger." Vocally, Irvine has a breathy quality to his voice, but never fails to get the listener involved nor does he make the songs feel easy. That does not seem to be his intention. And the songs are the better for it. Take "The Moment" - it's the close up view of the world made more intimate by the close up dry vocal sound that he's used. Engaging. "I know" stands out above all for its melody and its radio potential, moving it out of rock and into the world of adult contemporary popular music of the likes of classic U2 ballads. A true gem of a find, only missing its 5th star because I feel the best is still yet to come, as indicated by the album's closing track "The Moment." NH
