Shauna Parker is a performer whose profile is on the up-and-up. Since she started singing in pubs and clubs around the UK south coast only six years ago she has carved out a little niche of her own both as a Country and Jazz Balladeer.
Regular gigs with her Saloon Bar Band have earned Shauna a reputation as one of the best country singers around and she now presents a show devoted to one of her greatest influences, Patsy Cline. The first live showing of Crazy Shauna at The Komedia in Brighton was a great success, and was followed in December by a smaller more intimate show at The Greys featuring just Shauna on vocals with Glen Richardson (Brighton Beach Boys) on piano. Shauna is not an impersonator, and makes no attempt to either look or sound like Patsy. But she is a true country torch singer at heart. She has captured the spirit of the music and what she does have in common with Patsy is a warm and emotionally expressive voice, and the ability to touch an audience. Her love of the music is clear, and her between-song banter about Patsy's life is engaging and particularly appreciated by those less familiar with the iconic country singer. As well as performing many of Patsy's greatest hits, Shauna sings some of her lesser known but personal favourites, accompanied by a band drawn from the cream of local country musical talent, including Glen on piano with Dr.Dil Davies (Oysterband) on drums, Francois DeVille (The Diablos, Hillbilly Deluxe) on pedal steel, Scott Warman (The Bluehearts, Shauna Parker and Saloon Bar Band) on double-bass, Simon Sparrow (The Long Haul) on baritone guitar, and Matt Windler (Long Tall Texans, She Said) on guitar.

This is one of 6 tracks recorded live at Metway studios in Brighton and produced by Al Scott. Originally intended just as demos, Shauna decided they were too good not to be shared. Enjoy!
