Album Notes

This ALBUM takes you to the birthplace of the top selling music in the world, Hip-Hop. Meet the first solo MC of Hip Hop music. This is the life story of Dave Parker AkA [The Chief Rocker Busy Bee] Starsky, the first solo MC of Hip Hop.

Born and raised in New York City, the Chief Rocker tells the story about who created Hip Hop. This is told from the mouth of the man who helped build this industry from the beginning. With never before heard audio of Busy Bee back in the days; ripping the mic live in the parks of the South Bronx. Hear pioneers such as the Cold Crush, the Funky Four, the Jazzy Five, Grandmaster Flash, and Kool Moe Dee. This album tells you first-hand how it was done back in the days when it was all about the rap skills of the DJs blending the break beats, the break-dancers, and gear you wore.
Way before the major record companies like Def Jam, Sony, and Sugar Hill Records - Chief Rocker Busy Bee (along with Kool DJ AJ and Africa Bambatta; the founding fathers of Hip Hop) was making rap music before rap records were ever recorded.

This album brings you up close and personal with Chief Rocker Busy Bee as he rips the microphone during live performances on the New York streets over 25 years ago. Old School Hip Hop. East Coast Hip Hop.

Listen to the digital remastered live recordings narrated by the legend himself.

This is the REAL hip hop that today's audience doesn't have a clue about... unless you know the foundation you really have no idea what it is you're talking about when you use the words "HIP HOP". Great CD, hope to see many more like it in the future.

A MUST HAVE FOR OLD SCHOOLERS

I remember these days and it's good to see the early days of Hip-Hop represented. All True-school Hip-Hop heads must have this. Busy Bee is a true legend and people like him could teach a lot of today's so-called Kings what it really means to be an emcee. Thanks for the memories.
