Album Notes

An all-star cast of players join Tucson, Arizona singer/songwriter Jason Steed on Creosote's debut album "Blacksmoke." Members of Calexico, Greyhound Soul, Topless Opry and Luca make noteworthy additions to this release.

Jason Steed is by now a veteran of the Tucson music scene having played bass with various bands throughout the 90s and the early part of this century, including Dog & Pony Show, Naked Prey, Cathy Rivers, Teddy Morgan, Mark Insley, Chris Burroughs to name a few.

Having written songs since the beginning of his foray into music, it inevitably came time for Jason to put his own band together and do it his way.

Blacksmoke is the first full length release from Creosote... but there's plenty more to come.
