Album Notes

The growing demand for our latest album of original rock has lead us to cdbaby. We pulled many talented musicians from the beaches and fields of Martha's Vineyard last summer and sat them down in front of an old tape machine. We have been playing these songs while falling in love again and again in the city of Boston. The time came to record and everything else stopped in our life. With lead vocals performed by Tim Laursen and Emily Laursen, the album is a delight of original compositions performed by the next generation of east coast rock and roll players. Now that phase is over and we live on the other coast. This is not an album recorded over one week. This is a long winter, a horny spring, a hot summer, and a red fall of capturing drums, bass, acoustics, electrics, rhodes, synth, and lots of vocals as they sound in barren bathroom and backyard. "SONG BRING ME BACK" was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless mastering (Magnetic fields, more great bands...) It has already begun a buzz in the indie rock world and hopes to delight everyone with its human message. For more, visit www.myspace.com/cricketsmusic or www.wilderlaursen.com. Enjoy

i'm not sure if the rest of civilization realizes what you're all doing

Date: May 1, 2006 1:31 PM i was at the vineyard this weekend to hear willy mason play, it was amazing...i also got to listen to the rest of the songs on your album (awesome). Your mom gave me a copy. it's very fun to listen to your music, and the music your freinds are making. i'm not sure if the rest of civilization realizes what you're all doing, but i am, and it's really fun to watch all the music and ideas grow and evolve...i hope to eventually see a crickets show and maybe even come visit you if i ever have free time... well, just thought i'd let you know about stuff and say hello keep the good things going.
