Real music about real life. "This Cat Got Ten" is the debut offering from Darin Crisman.
Recorded in Nashville with some of the best players in the world, and produced by Gary Buck, this album weaves a story of real life in the midwest.
From the anthem of the overworked and underpaid "The Boss, Banker, and that Woman of Mine" to the haunting reminiscence found in "Back To I Do", listeners will enjoy the rich traditional sounds that are the foundations of traditional country music.
The Musicians that brought these songs to life include: Acoustic guitar: Leo Jackson Lead guitar: Gregg Galbraith, Mike Severs Steel: Sonny Garrish Piano: Rodger Morris Bass: Mike Leech Drums: Gene Chrisman Fiddle: Rob Hajacos Background Singers: Margie Cates, Chip Davis
You may not recognize their names, but you can be certain you've heard their music. They play for the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, and the late great Elvis Presley.
We hope you like what they've done with Darin's Music!

I was wondering what "New Traditional" contry music was, untill I got Darin's new CD. I was taken by the fact that someone had combined the talent of two of the Memphis Boys (Mike Leach and Gene Chrisman, Elvis session players) with many of the "New" country musicans. The song writing was real and told a story. Overall, I rank this one as a keeper. I would imagine that Darin will be picked by a major label as a writer or artist or both.

I had a chance to meet Darin at after a show in Branson, MO. I felt I needed to say something to the world about how nice of a guy he is and how good his show and cd is. I have went to many concerts and I have been to Fan Fair in Nashville twice, from this I have met many "Stars", but after meeting Darin and hearing him talk about the harsh reality of having his own label and writing msuic, I relized that he is the real "Star". Guys like this need the fans support and encouragement. His music and voice are real and the CD has no fluff. Hear him now or hear him later. I don't think he is going away. Thanks, Dawn

I first met Darin at a show he was doing for a radio station in Kansas. I got his CD and was amazed that he wrote all the songs on it. During his show, he also played about 10 song that did'nt make his first album. They were great. I typically don't rave about new artist, but Darin was so cool when we met him and I just wanted to let people Know! (I'm telling everyone I play it for to go get it at cdbaby, It's a bit cheaper this way)
