This versatile recording artist has captured many an audience with her unique style and rich angelic voice.
Born in Cuba, Cristy discovered her amazing talent at a very early age. She began her professional singing career in her teen years while living in Puerto Rico singing in radio, TV shows and jingles. In her twenties she landed the leading roles in the Broadway musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Camelot". Since 1982 Cristy lives in Miami with her family where she hosts "Milagro de Amor" a radio program which airs through Radio Paz 830 AM and Pax Net and "Al Ritmo de Jesus" which airs through Radio Catolica Mundial. In 1997, she received the prestigious “Otto” award from the ACRIM organization for “Revelation singer of the year”. Cristy has made numerous appearances on National Christian TV (“TBN”, “EWTN”). She has performed in theaters throughout the USA and Latin America giving concerts and as a special guest to other artists. The following are among the stages where the singer has a appeared: Teatro de Bellas Artes , San Juan , Puerto Rico; Centro de convenciones “Atlapa”, Panama; Teatro de “Matamoros” , Mexico; Teatro “Artime” , Miami; “Miami Dade County Auditorium”, Miami; “Gusman Hall”, Miami; “Wertheim Hall”, Miami; “The Family Apostolate”, Ohio and others. The singer has soon become a favorite among contemporary Christian singers although her voice covers a wide range of genres. She can deliver to the most sophisticated classical music enthusiast as well as to the lover of ballads. Cristy has recorded more than eight albums of inspirational music, one album of Latin popular ballads and one Christmas album. With her incredible voice that caresses with earnest passion , Cristy never fails to touch the heart of her listeners.
