Better with every listen

This has been my experience with Here We Are. Chris Robertson tells a story on this well crafted, thoroughly enjoyable record. Well worth every penny and keeps getting better.

File it on your CD shelf between Jeff Buckley and Radiohead.

So beautiful. Really moody and full of feeling, in a Jeff Buckley fierce ballad kind of way. No tricked-up, dumbed-down emo crap. Good listening for when you have the night to yourself, a bottle of wine, and a sweet set of headphones.

Hauntingly beautiful lyrics & driving rhythms
author: Scott Russo
I first heard Chris play at Arlene Grocery on the Lower East Side of Manhattan one night after work. When he started singing Pinion Pine I was immediately transfixed. Chris' hauntingly beautiful vocals gave me chills and pulled me in while the steady driving rhythm led me through the musical story he was telling. I told him I absolutely had to have a copy of that song and after a year of Chris' hard work getting his first solo CD released, I finally have it. I think the day he gave it to me I listened to it about 20 times. It's on my favorites list on my ipod and goes with me everywhere. Thanks Chris.

Great lyrics! Great guitar!

If you like Badly Drawn Boy, Elliot Smith, The National etc. you will really like this. "Here We Are" is really moody with some great lyrics and really cool trippy guitar sounds. Put on some headphones and let your mind drift.
