THIS ALBUM IS ON SALE NOW - FOR A LIMITED TIME !!!
Breakthru release from Croc Shop. Strong melodies on top ov solid backings. Pure Electro-Synth Pop EBM for the masses! CMJ compaired this release to groups like the Faint & Nitzer Ebb! Outburn gave this a 10/outta/10 in a rave review & Alternative Press commented that it was an ideal cd to play at 100 decibels in an Airport Hangar (Rave? Anyone...)
Fans of the groups earlier, darker material need not fear, however: Much like New Order or Depeche Mode before them, Croc Shop maintain a definite "alternative" & "gloomy" side when it comes to their lyrical content & dark melodies. Yes you're dancing,... but to the sonic death disco that is Croc Shop's "World" ! ! !
If you've never heard Croc Shop before, tho - think of this relese this way: "World" is 13 tracks of electronic bliss with influences coming in at all angles: New Order, Depeche Mode, Underworld, Bowie, Dirty Vegas, ELO, Gang of Four, Wire, Chameleons, Front 242, and many others . . . Check it !

excellent electro pop-tinged industrial

"World" is the newest (greatest) cd from the Crocodile boys . . . It reminds me of the great (glory) days of "Alternative" music scene: New Order, Depeche Mode, Peter Murphy, Erasure and the like. If you're a fan of any of them you should get this disc. The best songs are "World", "Generation" and "Scattered", which is also a little like the 242 sound in spots. There is also an updated "Techno" or "Rave" sound to the keybords at times that I like a LOT ! Hey - Don't take my word for it - go get this disc now! And CD Baby is the lowest price I've seen this cd for too!

Varied Electro-Synth-Pop for your Darkest Sunny Day !

If you are as into New Order, Depeche Mode, Front Line and Front 242 as I am; you simply MUST get a copy of this amazing album. Croc Shop (who used to be Crocidile Shop) have gone far & away from the pack on this cd for sure. If I could compair it to anything - I'd say it's like some great compilation from the European underground. The songs are that varied and intense... I havent heard something so engaging since I first picked up my first Skinny Puppy record back in 1993 ! Not to say that this offering by Croc Shop is that "bizzare", but it is that "refressing" & in a world of "clones" of the "future pop" that used to be "industrial", this cd really shows those bands "how it's done". !!!!
