THE CROSBYS:SWEET JESUS, is the Crosbys debut CD, although they have been singing together as a family since their early teens.


They are an acappella gospel singing group consisting of mother, Berlene and her ten children. Their father, the late Ernest Jack Crosby Sr., also had great singing ability.

Raised in Harleton, rural north east Texas, their father and mother taught them how to lead, harmonize and blend their voices together. They grew up singing throughout Texas at various churches under the direction of their parents.

This collection of songs are described as a traditional and contemporary weave. They are favorites of those who enjoy their music. Six different lead singers are showcased on this CD, giving you an indication of the depth of talent this group has to offer.

The warm rich energy of their sound embraces you and pulls you in.

I attended my sisters funeral in October where I first heard songs from Sweet Jesus. I was so impressed. I attended my stepfathers funeral in November and we chose to again use songs from this CD for musical selections. We have family members and friends asking on how to obtain this CD. A job well done. When you can sing, you don’t need instruments.

Instruments can cover a multitude of errors. When you have the talent that the Crosby family presents on this CD, you don’t need clever ways to cover your mistakes – there aren’t any mistakes to cover. I hope this is the first of many great CDs to come from this talented family.
