Album Notes
"I used to be WITH IT. But then they changed what IT was...It'll happen to you." We heard that in a classic episode of The Simpsons some years ago, and it caused a reflective moment. You see, for the founders of Crossing Oceans, the majority of our all-time favorite rock songs are now labeled "digitally-remastered classics". Bummer. It's since been our quest to create some NEW original rock music that embraces themes from the past.

re*vision is the realization of the first phase of our quest. We've selected these 10 songs, all written and revised, again and again, then lovingly recorded , re-recorded, produced, and reproduced over a 2 year period.

The stock in our music recipe is rock n' roll, to which we add slow-cooked melodies and thoughtful lyrics. Finally, we blend in a little "spice" from other musical styles, such as: reggae, western, funk, progressive, grunge, punk, disco, ska...whatever's lying around. The result for us is a bunch of new music that WE want to hear along side our "classic" recordings of Led Zeppelin, The Cars, The Beatles, R.E.M., The Police, Jethro Tull, Van Halen, The Cure, Hewey Lewis and the News, Billy get the idea!
