The fourth album from Cruciform Injection, "Epilogue" steps beyond Industrial dance music and enters a soundscape of analog basslines, layered vocals, and driving beats. All nine original songs were constructed during 2003, and selected from over 30 songs. Fronted by Micah Skaritka and with new perspectives on sequencing were provided by Brendon 7 and Kassi, and production assistance from Oliver Tarancweski (Evils Toy, T.O.Y., and Re/Act) helps polish the album. Final mastering by Guido Fricke of Haujobb completes the electronic sound. On Negative Gain Productions.

Some of the best, dark electro I have heard in awhile.
author: TwiNight Music Radio
This is some of the best dark electro music I have heard in awhile. There are a couple things that I am not a fan of, silly distorted vocals and mindless electro. Not only does Cruciform Injection avoid this, their music is a prime example of how good dark electro can sound when done right. The songs are well done, melodic, listenable or danceable, or both. Stand out tracks include...well..the whole album, but to be specific, "Dark House", "120 over 80", "Black Gold", and "Reducer". Fans of Leaether Strip, Wumpscut, or fans of good, dark electro music should pick this one up, you won't be disappointed. Highly Recommended!

Cruciform Injection avoids the poppy quality of a lot of EBM and electro-industrial on the market and goes instead for explorations of darker realms. Not that most E-I is happy but this is dark as opposed to just moody. However, instead of going for the acid heaviness of most of the grimmer electro (think Wumpscut, Front Line Assembly, etc.), Cruciform Injection's "Epilogue" goes more for a cleaner sound. The edginess comes from the goa stylishness that permeates the music. Psy acid drives the atmosphere, rather than distortion, though there is a bit of this. The vocals sound like they went through a little filtering, but not to the point that some of those other aforementioned acts filter theirs. These are more understandable while still flat and intimidating. Cruciform Injection is right up there in quality with some of the top line acts, such as you might encounter on Metropolis Records, one of the leading purveyors. In fact, I believe this band's distro goes through Metropolis, so that should give you an idea of the quality and the kind of electro doings to be expected, even though CI has managed to pull off a bit of a unique personality, an accomplishment in a genre whose bands tend to blur together at times.

The Cruciform Injection sound borrows a lot from classic EBM but still has a ver
author: Kult ov Bella
Cruciform Injection "Epilogue" CD Negative Gain Productions Album number four from this crew brings us more and better crushing rhythms, mixed with dark and melodic synth lines all tied together by a stong set of vocal chords that have just a touch of Thirwell-esque style. A tough and sometimes gravelly vocalist chants about religion, war for oil and other problems with the human existence. The band's strength in production quality is present, as is typical for them, in this release. The Cruciform Injection sound borrows a lot from classic EBM but still has a very modern boot stomper feel to it. They even use trance like sounds and production without getting watered down like most others that attempt such a mixture. This album includes a bonus of several remixed tracks tweaked by Pzychobitch, E-craft, Neuroactive and Filament 38 (the notes on this promo say Haujobb will be added to the final version). Each takes a track either from Epilogue or from a previous album and gives it their own twist. One question remains...Is this album an epilogue to human existence itself or is it simply a way to wrap-up the previous three releases and point us toward the future? Either way, if Cruciform Injection is around, I'll keep listening.

This trio makes up this remarkable band that rules the dancefloors, worldwide!

Cruciform Injection-Epilogue The newest from this Chicago-based band. First of all, I just booked this band at my event and they pulled in a big crowd. 200 plus people showed up at my event, cause of this band. This band was designed to get you to move and move and move and tear that dansefloor up till it no longer exists and looks like it went through armaggedon. Lead singer, Micah Skaritka-programming, vocals and samples, Brendan7-live guitar and programming and Kassi-live keyboards and programming. This trio makes up this remarkable band that rules the dancefloors, worldwide! Word is out that Cruciform Injection is here to stay and is going to turn the world upside down and it will forever not be the same! Track one- Reducer, very moving Peter Murphyish backing sounds with a hard, moving break beat with a lazer gun shooting back at it, nuff sed. Track three- dark house, a very haunting track with symphonic sounds in the background and awesome vocals! Micah sings, this darkened house, just that line alone is dark and mysterious and so many channels are set on his voice to really make it stand out! Quite a catchy tune, I must say! Track four- Vacant Bodies, another super catchy danse track. I can see this track be used for a movie score for a good zombie flick. It's dark and creepy and really gets under your skin. Micah sings, bodies with almost an alien voice and never lets us forget! This track would be good for a new sequel to Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something! The rest of this album rules, you can dance to every one of the tracks, not one is disappointing! So check out the new Cruciform Injection, take them in and enjoy the ride! 4stars!
