Hey there! Welcome to our CD-Baby space and thanx for your interest in Cruel Noise. Let me tell you a little about our band:

Cruel Noise was founded in August 1998 by Frank Acklin (dr) and Dominik Flacher (g) in Wil SG, Switzerland. The former school friends Roberto Sulzer (vos) and Stefan Kleger (b) completed the band. In this formation the first concerts took place in 1999. In the beginning cover songs were played in order to gain more experience in songwriting, but soon the repertoire only contained self-compositions in the Punk/Rock/Alternativ spectrum. From 2000 to 2004, the band travelled all across Switzerland and collected in over 60 Gigs from Rorschach (were they speak german) to the Maggia-Valley (parlare italiano, seniorata) their live-routine. In 2001 Cruel Noise received the annual culture promotion price of the city of Wil. Starting 2002, several personnel changes happened, which resulted in the repeated replacement of the bass player. In 2005 Cruel Noise gained valuable knowledge in Homerecording and concentrated on the songwriting of the first Album "Out Of The Madhouse", which was produced and recorded like the two previous Demo-CDs by Dede Felix (Steve Whitney Band, anyone?). In 2005 the current bass player, Adi Rütimann, joined the band. Two years later Sonam Lama became the new singer. In this formation, Cruel Noise is currently touring with their album around Switzerland and working on new song material.

About the Music Style:
In the early years, Cruel Noise committed itself completely to straight punkrock. Now the sound is clearly more differentiated: On the first complete album "Out Of The Madhouse", influences from punk, rock, metal and funk merged into a unique mix. Whether a fast rock song or a melancholic ballade: the band keeps surprising the listeners, presents itself variedly and nevertheless with a high recognizing value.
