Album Notes

Band-Info:
They had known each other for quite a while and had already played various shows together, but it needed an emergency (absent bass player and drummer at a late night session) to bring these two together on stage in a duo situation for the first time. Duo concerts at the Salzburger Jazzherbst, Inntoene Festival, Kremser Jazzherbst, Jazzfest Wien, JazzWerkstatt, Festival „New Austrian Sound of Music“ Berlin, etc..., followed, the duo was presented on OE1, Austrias main cultural radio station on various occasions and was also involved in bigger projects. (Max Nagl Ensemble „Quartier du faisan“, Georg Breinschmid „A tribute to Charles Mingus“, Steven Bernstein/ J.G. Thirlwell „foetus / steroid maxismus“ Donaufestival, Paulus Manker „Alma Mahler").

Press:
„…as long as there are young musicians like that, you don’t need to worry about the jazz-future in Austria - two excellent instrumentalists…
(Klaus Schulz, OE1)

„Clemens Salesny und Clemens Wenger ... they began by using soundbites of Ernst Jandl and just carried the artificial language forward on their instruments, piano and saxophone. Such an interesting and clever presentation naturally convinced the large (expert-) audience.”
(Austrian Music Export)
