I think AKUS ought to be opening for THEM (and I'm an AKUS fan)! GREAT! Janet Beazley's banjo and vocals are especially noteworthy. But the musicians are ALL excellent.

Great! This group reminds me of AKUS

I think there's a good mix of songs (ballards vrs. up-tempo, great muscianship. Heard (and loved) "Rider on this Train" on WUMB-FM (Boston's Folk Radio Station) and bought the CD for that, but was impressed with the other songs. Wonderful harmonies. This group belongs up there with the best of the countty-folk groups ("up there" with Allison Kraus & Union Station). Thanks for the chance to comment. P.S. Any tours that would include Mass.?

Chris Stuart is the next superstar in bluegrass music
author: Bill Campbell
Mojave River has an appropriate balance of ballads and uptempo numbers to make it one of the better selections in bluegrass released in 2004. I am looking forward to seeing Chris & Backcountry at the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival, Alta, WY, in August. I own Chris' other 2 CDs & Majave does not disappoint. This group has the touch.
