notes
This Time Is Meant For Us
Leftover emotions live on
Sometimes bringing me down
I look to you with sincere wide eyes
Beliving that this can come true
This time is meant for us
Christmas time is for us
For all that you give
Christmas time is to live
When I am doubting you
Your not doubting me
Good tidings of Great Joy
For every girl and boy
We all have one life to give
so we all do live
You were sent, sent for us
Christmas is Love
This time is meant for us
Christmas time is for us
For all that you do
Christmas time is for you
Merry Christmas!!

Haunting vocals and instrumentally cool to the touch
author: Richard BanksThis new Christmas Music Sampler showed up in my mailbox over the weekend, a little 3-song sampler packaged like contraband in a little sandwich baggie. Yet who can predict what such a package might contain? This one gave up its secrets quite readily, as soon as I could get it out of its protective baggie and into the iPod. On the heels of their 2005 CD Christmas Songs, Sampler turns out to be a nice little understated new age rock treat, somewhat in the tradition of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Charles Tapp's haunting vocals are backed up on guitar by Alex Fuhrman, and on bass by Steve Evans. Instrumentally cool to the touch, their brand of rock and roll is almost self-effacing in its reticence. At 12 minutes, there is not so much to say, but I enjoyed it, and it is sure to please other lovers of classic rock Christmas music. It should be noted here as well that the artists have several tracks available for free download on their Web site, a practice I heartily support!
