As a tight, efficient unit of four best friends, Culdera repeatedly receives advanced praise after delivering jaw-dropping live performances. They continue to offer fresh and exciting elements in conjunction with music to captivate and entertain.
These perpetual purveyors of rock began as the foursome in summer of 2002. Vocalist Chad Mosson and drummer Jeremy Forsyth remain the original members after several members
sharing short stints of the bands history. In 2004 Garrett Kovalik came aboard the Culdera roster with remarkable song writing capabilities and fan-winning stage antics.
The continuous evolution toward an identity became concrete in 2005 with the fruition of the founding of guitarist Jarrod Hoover and bassist Michael Capocelli. Mosson and Forsyth and Kovalik felt their chemistry and vision in their future of music matched, and after intense effort, Culdera defined their sound.
In the current and most rewarding phase, Culdera began to make serious monetary and time investments. After of immersing themselves in preparation, they emerged and since has wowed every crowd they've performed for. Within this short resurgence period, they have won numerous battle of the bands both live and online, including one of the biggest in Virginia. Despite their success, the self-promoted, self-managed Culdera remains dedicated and totally loyal to what they do best, and unanimously agree there is no end in sight.
Culdera's first release "The Dawning" is a collective demonstration of hard rock roots blended with today's modern rock sound. People have compared the band's sound with artists such as Incubus, Helmet, Foo Fighters, 311 and Tool.
