Album Notes
Before grunge there was Culprit. For a generation that grew up on Kiss, Rush and Black Sabbath, Culprit proved Seattle could rock with the best. As Iron Maiden was to England and Metallica was to San Francisco, Culprit was to Seattle.

Featuring a duel chain-saw guitar attack with the most in-your-face bass player ever. A powerhouse drummer and a vocalist like no other. Culprit delivers what people crave: "High energy" intense metal with great musicianship and vocals. A rather British-sounding vein, complete with cascading duo-guitar runs and one helluva bulldozer rhythm section. Split-second time changes, piercing vocals, staggeringly complex rhythms and dominating power.

Inspired by Culprit, hundreds of Seattleites went on to form bands. In part you can thank Culprit for their influence on Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Nevermore, Alice-N-Chains, and Queensryche.

This recording will give you a taste of the energy and insanity that is Culprit. Enjoy!

True metal birth
I had to spend 24 hours in Issiquah jail for a fist offence DUI (mandatory.....harsh) and the lead singer was a truste serving me my meals and coffee. I have to say I loved this guy, he was the comic relief inside the joint. I will never forget his kindness. Peace bro, hope you get this time behind you. You're are a great soul and don't let the system take that away!

This album is what Heavy Metal is ABOUT!!!! Nothing more needs to be said!

Mork from Italy

Heavy Metal as it should be
One of the true and perfect heavy metal albums ever.
I saw them play live in W.O.A. (Germany) some years ago,
and they really kicked ass! This cd is a must, like Made
in Japan or British Steel, every heavy metal fan should
own a copy and listen to it every day when he gets back
home from work. Pure adrenaline and raw energy!

B.O.B .

Is it true!? They're really back!
These guys were the absolute shit (and I mean that in the most complementary way). It would really be something to see this lineup again live (the Mural gig a few years back was a bummer cuz Jeff and KJ weren't there). When Queensryche broke out - Culprit should have been right there with them. A major highlight of my youth was opening for these guys (and by the way - Scott you still owe me bass lessons!!!) My last comment is with Guilty As Charged now available on CD - why wasn't their 4 song ep/demo tracks also included - Ride the Wild Highway and Metal Heart were great and would be an excellent inclusion to this disc (I lost my tape of this stuff years ago). Rock on guys...

Culprit is ageless and etched in time forever
I love this album. I was in Seattle and used to see the band play live. What an experience! To have access to this CD is a blessing.
