Album Notes

Margie Cumbie recorded her gospel CD "I Saw the Master This Morning" in Calhoun, Georgia at Echota Recording Studio with Mr. Robert Thames producing and arranging this wonderful project. This is Margie's first gospel album and she is excited and delighted to share this wonderful CD with you. The beautiful song "I Saw the Master This Morning" was written by David Gillon and Sharon Higgins.

Top musicians with many years of experience accompanied Margie on this CD - and when you listen you will hear what a fantastic job they did... Mr. Herby Wallace plays the steel guitar, Mr. Ben Brogdon plays the bass, Missy Thomas-Schmidt plays the keyboard and cello. Mark Edwards plays the drums. Plus, Mr. Robert Thames plays the acoustic and electric guitar in addition to his effort of producing and arranging this fine collection of gospel songs.

Seven original songs by some great song writers including Dixon DeVore II, Rhonnie Scheuerman, and David Gillon plus three well known gospel songs are performed by Margie Cumbie.

we received our CD today and have played it several times. We heard "I saw the Master this Morning" a few years ago and finally traced on the internet where we could buy it. It was sang by a lady in Largo, Fla. park and we loved it. We love Margie's album also........

This new sweet-voiced country chanter is well beloved because this kind of heart
author: PAUL DAVIS - CD REVIEWS FOR ‘COUNTRY MUSIC ROUNDUP’ MAGAZINE
These country-gospel ditties are brim-full of sentimentality and inspiration, a nostalgic trip into that era that has considerably departed the country record labels. I found the CD to be a refreshing true-blue country crooning-venture from a commendable lady of considerable prowess. Almost all of the songs have a syrupy-story content that lends the project to an easy-chair listening experience. The female vocalising is reminiscent of the best, tuneful, pleasant and emotive. It is refreshing indeed to see a release.
