“It is a joy to be able to record 'Pull My Daisy' with a group of fine young musicians whose adventuresome band would want to include a new version done in the style we played it when Jack Kerouac and I sang it together.” – Composer David Amram. (Includes full liner notes by David Amram.) CURSE is a new band from NYC that plays rock with a strong pop sensibility and a dark edge. Formed in Spring 2000, with influences ranging from the Ramones and Velvet Underground to Siouxsie, Janis Joplin and Tom Waits, CURSE's deep rock sound is easy on the ears, full of passion and good, solid playing. The band's live shows quickly led to a serious buzz around town. Before CURSE even had a demo recording, they were asked to play at Irving Plaza as part of the prestigious Convergence Festival.
