55 Chevy; is a song about making it with your girlfriend in the car on the way down to the Famous "Rib Shack" in Fort Smith, Arkansas to hear some blues, and to dance, drink a few beers and suck down some ribs. A Texas style butt rocking swinger this song was recorded and sung by Curtis Paul Campbell and the San Francisco version of the Eclectic Beast Band at Red Rooster Studios in the spring of 2003. Tony Lafrano is on Piano, Carlos Reyes is on the electrified fiddle, Dewayne Pate is on bass and Bryant Mills is on the drums. "55 Chevy" was remixed at Glenwood Studios in Burbank in 2004. Our producer Larold Rebhun was good friends with Jeff The Skunk Baxter and so Jeff came in to play electric guitar and pedal steel on the song, which really changed the dynamics and made it more of a country rock honkey tonk or something like it, which is what I wanted originally. I think I play some of my best harmonica of all my previous work...This song get's a lot of hits and digital downloads on Rhapsody, so for marketing purposes we decided to make it easy for everyone to locate and we turned it into a single...
