Album Notes

The second Curtis Potter release brings more great Texas shuffle beat songs mixed with Western Swing and beautiful ballads. This album starts off with the Dave Kirby written song "Chicago Dancin' Girls"-a great anthem for lost love in Texas..."I wish I knew less about Texas and more about Chicago Dancin' Girls!!" The shuffle continues with songs like "If You Look A Little Less" and "She's Leaving and I'm Almost Gone.".

Curtis is joined by his longtime producer Ray Pennington on "A Better Way To Love." He then used the great Buddy Emmons to swing "Texas Had To Be Created" and the anthem "Twin Fiddles Turn Me On." Curtis is singing better than ever and this album proves that going to the school of Ray Price, George Jones, Willie and Merle Haggard has definitely paid off for him. His vocal range and ability to pick great material makes "Chicago Dancin' Girls" a big hit with any lover of traditional Country Music and Western Swing enthusiast!

HAVE SLOWLY BEEN ABLE TO COLLECT THE MATERIALS OF CURTIS SINCE THEY ARE NOW RERELEASED ON CD AND IT IS WONDERFUL; A GREAT PICK OF RECORDINGS. HAD COLLECTED WHAT I COULD FIND ON VINYL, BUT WITH THESE NOW ON CD IT IS GREAT; THESE WERE GREAT CUTS.  HE IS A GREAT ARTIST AND IT WOULD BE SO GOOD TO SEE SOME NEW RELEASES BY HIM SINCE HE IS WITH HEART OF TEXAS RECORDS.  HAVING ENJOYED THIS CD OF RECORDINGS, IT WAS A WONDERFULU COLLECTION.
