Album Notes

This CD is called “ITSULA.” It has more than one meaning in Cherokee. We have been a wife and husband team for almost four decades. This CD is a balance of BOTH the female and male energies. Working TOGETHER is essential for good balance. This balance is essential in our relationship with Creator and all of creation.
Searching for balance is a quest to find meaning in life, in all that we experience. Growing and learning from our daily experiences is important to the process of rebalancing.
We are all related. We are all connected. To honor Creator
we need to respect creation in its many forms. We are all
interdependent within the Circle of Life. We have been
instructed to be protectors of Mother Earth. This is an
awesome responsibility.
We would like to be loved and to have someone to love.
Creator is love in its Purest form. To walk in love, respect
and honor is walking in balance. Walking in balance is
walking in Creator’s love. Do everything in love.
This CD marks the first time we have introduced the sound of the traditional Cherokee Water Drum, in addition to the Big Powwow Drum and the usual array of shakers and bells.
