Roy Battiese a.k.a. – “Daddy Roy – The Messenger”, was born and raised in the West Indies on the sunny island of Jamaica. As a youth growing up in St. Ann around his elders, he has always had a strong love and passion for the soulful, artsy rhythmic beat of reggae music which constantly flowed throughout the streets.

Having been involved with music for over 30 years, and writing music since 1997, Daddy Roy accredits his drive and dedication as a reggae artist and performer from a number of highly influential and world renowned Reggae Superstars including Peter Tosh, the great legendary Bob Marley, Sanchez and Off Point. He salutes these artists among with others as being the front foreman to put reggae music on the global map.

Daddy Roy has released various CD’s to date including “Really and Truly”(1997), “Generation To Generation” (2001), and “I am Back” (2006). Throughout the years, he has performed at various venues throughout Jamaica, Toronto, and the United States. His music has been aired on various radio stations throughout the world and has been noted on various charts.

Daddy Roy plans on releasing many more tracks under his label “Stronger Than Before Productions”, and invites you to engage and enlighten your ear to his music which he hopes will inspire the up and coming, present a message of strength, unity and happiness and bring an inner beauty and calmness to the soul. Through his music which he enjoys writing and performing he hopes to bring a sense of fullfillness to those who crave diversity and the language of love.

Roy is a conscience, energetic and determined artist who’s drive for success and love of reggae is relentless.
