This is a fantastic and exciting album. The drumming is unbelievable, but no more so than the compositions. My first impression was sort of, M-BASE meets Latin, but that doesn't do justice to the music's originality. Everyone is the group is incredible. I've never heard Manuel Valera before and he blew me away. If you want to hear what's new and exciting in contemporary jazz, you must get this album. Go Dafnis Prieto!
