Album Notes

Born into a family of musicians (her dad traveled with Bob Dylan, her uncle is a guitar maker, etc.) May Erlewine has been playing music all her life. She learned to sing at an early age and her acoustic guitar is seldom far from her side. Erlewine who was home schooled paid her singer-songwriter dues in her late teens with several years of hitchhiking back and forth across the U.S. Even riding freight trains and always writing songs and playing her music. She made her living playing music on the road working coast-to-coast from the subways of Philadelphia to the California Coast.

Erlewine has worked a variety of venues mostly on the East Coast and in the Midwest. Everything from Tinker Street Cafe in Woodstock, NY (where Dylan used to play). To a string of cafes and coffee houses in the midwest. Streatching from Ann Arbor and Detroit to Grand Rapids and up to Traverse City and Manistee. Her inspired songs and powerful clear voice have a sweetness that keeps audiences calling for more. May Erlewine lives and has her studio in Big Rapids, Michigan.

Amazing

Daisy May is fantastic and I love this album. I've actually had the pleasure of seeing her and Seth Bernard twice. They came to my school, because Seth Bernard graduated from the same high school I went to. I absolutely recommend seeing them if you get the chance.

Magical Tears
author: James McLain
Awesome early effort. Her lyrics force me to consider reincarnation--just too old soul for such a young writer. The real magic is May's voice, all fireworks and fallen angels, with a little yodel that raises the hair on the back of my neck. Yet, a rare vocalist who is way better in person!

blessed am I
author: mcghie
I came across these melodious tunes by almost chance. And found a power hidden in her voice that rustled those feathers on the wings of my soul. There are no words to convey my graditude for the masterfully poetic work of art made available through the easy use of Cd baby. Worth every moment of time.
