Album Notes

Bodyrockin' Music was founded in 2000 by Damar Howard. In 1997 Damar had a demo deal with EPIC/Sony as an R&B artist under Mark 1 Management based in Austin, Texas . As a result of Damar's relationship with Sony, he developed a burning desire to be able to assist upcoming artists succeed in the music industry while allowing them the opportunity to maintain a measure of creative control.

Bodyrockin' Music is the manifestation of Damar's dream. The company builds a foundation where artists and producers can be educated on the inner workings of the music industry and enlightened regarding what an unsigned artist can do to increase his/her demand. The goal of Bodyrockin' Music is to become one of the biggest & most diverse production companies in the world. The Bodyrockin' sound is made up of various elements inclusive of Urban R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, Pop, Rock, and Drum-N-¬Bass. It is the joining of these distinct elements that gives Bodyrockin' Music the cutting edge and ability to tap into any mainstream genre and be successful at it. The Bodyrockin' Music's B-Team is lead by a true leader:

Damar Howard is the "Henchman" of the team and is known for his ability to innovate people creatively with his experience on the business aspect of music, song writing, and producing.

The Bodyrockin' Music power house is influenced by shining examples such as: Timbaland, the icon for producers; Outkast, who has incredible stage presence and humility; and the Neptunes, guys with fantastic writing abilities and the diversity to collaborate with many different artists. It is the intent of Damar to follow the same path that these individuals have taken to master the music scene while still maintaining his own style and originality thru Bodyrockin' Music.

In 2001 the group "Homegrown" that Damar produced debuted at #8 in the world on MP3.com's Top 20 Rap list for the song "Marijuana", which was featured on Damar's What Is Love solo album. During the months of December, January, and February of 2001, the compilation album Bodyrockin' Music, Vol. 1 had two #1 selling albums in the world out of 300,000 artist on MP3.com in the genres of Hip-hop/Rap and Urban/R&B. Over the last year, Damar has taken extraordinary steps to promote Bodyrockin' Music by creating a buzz about his hot production & talents as an artist on Austin radio stations and club circuit. To quote Damar, "One advantage of being a talented producer/artist, as well as a diverse individual, is that I can open doors for many other gifted artists & producers." With Damar's hot and unique sound, he hopes to set the tone for a new generation of music and leave his trademark for generations to come starting in 2005.
