Album Notes
This cd contains my last ten recordings. I'm influenced by almost everything: roots, folk, pop, big 80's, guitar wizards, jazz... My first recordings were folk songs even though i considered myself to be a rock guitarist at the time. Most song lyrics are about reflection, self motivation, and random thoughts that creep in while ironing out an idea. I never intend to come up with the music, it just happens while goofing off, and lyrics always happen last. I've never been able to write on the spot, or set aside time to write. All songs are accidents. There are fictional stories on this cd also. "Fear In His Eyes" is about hearing a scream while hiking. I find the woman, and tie up the attacker. The lady won't let me call the police, and she wants to bury him. "Transhuman" is about the rise of artificial intelligence; hybrids taking over. "Back Again" is about a child in an abusive home. It could apply to anyone in a bad situation. The lyrics to "Winter Song" started as a joke. I simply couldn't come up with anything else. I enjoyed making this collection of songs, and will eventually make it to a real studio someday, maybe. I've grown fond of home recording, because I've noticed a certain charm to the recordings; an unpolished and imperfect, but very genuine charm:)
