Album Notes

The creation of music now has it's emphasis in marketing and promotion rather than emotion and freshness of content. When I create music it's from my heart and soul. I have trained in various locations and with individuals such as my mom who was a great musician in her own right. My formal music education was in piano studies at Brooklyn College and with the Jazz Mobile with Enos Payne. The result of these experiences is my perspective on writing simply that a groove is there in the mix no matter what is placed on top. And the bottom line is that each song is a part of me and simply what flows from my creative. This is the best part of being an independent artist because you don't have to sound like everyone else. So therefore, you have the flavors of r&b, funk, jazz, dance and other expressions in this, my first CD release on Musically INKLIGNed Records. My life and vibe influences are diverse, including Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, C. Ives, George Duke, Herbie Hancock, Ramsey Lewis, Bobby Lyle, Bob James, Jeff Lorber, Red Garland, Bill Evans, Onaje Allen Gumbs, Larry Graham, Christen Mcbride, Wayman Tisdale, Stanley Clarke and Jerri Allen to name just a smattering.
