Album Notes

It all began with the day his mother and father pulled him from the 3rd grade and took him on a 2 year sailing journey around the world. From South America to Tripoli...the Mediterranean to the Adriatic they traveled...exploring the outer most limits of the globe. As evenings would fall on the harbors and ports, fellow sea-goers would gather around the bonfire as Dan's father would sing and play guitar late into the night. It was here that Dan began to cultivate his musical infatuation watching his father put enchanted smiles on faces from around the world.

It was during this time that Dan Ainsworth learned to take life and live every experience to its fullest. Remembering stories of dancing with the natives on the Solomon Islands to dangerous encounters with sharks off the coast of New Guinea, Dan became accustomed to converting his everyday experiences into engaging melodic tunes to which everyone could relate.

Upon his return home, Dan continued to develop his passion excelling in piano, saxophone, and guitar. Throughout high school and college, Dan has broadened his musical base, playing with such performers as Eric Hutchinson, Doc Norris, Jet Lag, and O.A.R. Incorporating his unique and worldly experiences into an original emotive sound, Dan's mission is to continue to spread his love across this great land.

The Cd is great. I love the acoustic sound and his voice is soothing, as are artists such as DMB and John Mayer. I think he'll go far and be right up there with these artists someday. My favorite song from the album is At Your Door.
