Album Notes

Dana Meredith is a singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA who has been hailed as a "vocalist with a very progressive sound". Her lyrics are raw, deep and to the point and she paints pictures with her words where you can't help the urge to look, listen and feel the emotions swirling within the music. Her songs run the range of life's experiences - from pleasure to pain, anger to fear, joy to sorrow...and as a listener you're invited on the journey with Dana every step of the way. Dana was selected as one of the top 100 female vocalists in the U.S. last year and showcased in the "Best New Talent Search", which was held in Los Angeles, California. In addition, her music has received interest from several major production companies for film and television projects. Dana is also a featured artists on the CD compilation "Catalyst 18", which is distributed by DISCOVERGIRLS.COM. This CD features 18 of the top singer/songwriters from Canada and the United States and ALL PROCEEDS FROM CD SALES BENEFIT THE NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION. A team of volunteers, including Paul Salveson (sound engineer for the late great Ray Charles and many other stars) and the Bevans Group (graphic artists), worked on the project to develop a truly outstanding album. Visit www.discovergirls.com website or www.cdbaby.com/cd/discovergirls to purchase the CD and help eliminate cancer. Currently, Dana is organizing a benefit concert on behalf of a local women's charity, which assists victims of domestic abuse and their children. The concert will be in San Diego, California this fall and will feature an all female line-up of talented "indie" artists. Stayed tuned for more details!! **************** Aptly titled "A Life In The Day", Dana Meredith's debut CD is a compilation of songs that really brings the "human experience" to the surface and shows how it manifests in our day-to-day lives. She is truly a remarkable up-and-coming singer, songwriter and performer, who is making her mark on today's music scene. Look for her!

A stellar career in the making!!!

It is very difficult to be chosen for Chicks Singer Night at Hollywood's "Knitting Factory" and for all intents and purposes, Dana Meredith was the headliner. (The fact that the two MC's joined her on stage confirms the power she has to connect with people on many levels...). She is a terrific songwriter..and that in and of itself placers her among the "haves" in the world. I really like what she does on stage and I can't wait to hear what she records next!

An incredible release from a talented local artist!
author: Tom Scanlan
I "found" Dana Meredith while surfing the internet. Her song "Home" was so good that I bought the CD. A Life in the Day is one of those rare albums where each song has it's own distinct personality. The insightful lyrics and well crafted tunes are some of the best music I've heard by an "independent" artist. Can't wait for the next one!
