Album Notes

Maria Speth (The Netherlands) studied Creative Dance and International Dance and has further specialized her work in dance with children. In her practice of teaching professionals she has worked for numerous Dance Academies (The Hague, Rotterdam and Tilburg), The Maastricht Conservatory of Music and various Music and Education Institutes. She does extensive work with professionals in dance education and in Primary Education both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Through her work with children she has developed a program for dancing with children from 4 to 12 years old called “Dance Spetters.” This program consists of two books and double CDs.
She has developed the music in close cooperation with other musicians of the Maastricht Conservatory, which led to a diverse and appealing outcome.
In developing methods for dancing with children she has become involved in (educational) dance projects in Germany, Austria, France, England, Finland, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Switzerland, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Brazil, as well as in pan-European projects for Special Education, in projects for traumatized children in Bosnia and in twinning projects in India and Suriname.
Her works have been published both in Dutch and in English.
