Album Notes

With the release of the second album by Dan Daniels and Your No Good Buddies, "Geezer Rock", Dan shows musical growth and development, as well as a continued march to his own muse. As a well seasoned member of the baby boom generation, he invokes the styles of his youth while all the time, expressing contemporary or universal themes of love lost and gained, of hard times faced and overcome, of sorrows and joys, and of what it means to stay in the present and never "give up on living". Songs like "Sweet Lovin' Woman, put a positive twist on the blues, while "Winter Blues" expresses the dark and lonesome feelings of the cruelest season. "The Rendezvous" tells a story of missed opportunities and redemption, while "The Rebound" is a story of new love rising from the ashes of lost love. And the title track "Geezer Rock" tells the tale of the artist facing his age (over sixty) and never flinching, still rockin' and rollin' through life. An upbeat, mostly up-tempo message of hope, love and most of all, not taking life or yourself too seriously. With able assists from a group of great musicians and the engineering prowess of Guy Wallis, "Geezer Rock" is fifty minutes of good-time Americana-Rock. A full twelve song album you can enjoy over and over again.
