Album Notes

He's DANGEROUS, so proceed with caution. His name might be DANGEROUS but don’t let the name fool you. He is the most down to earth, self- directed and intelligent rap music artists to emerge in 2004. Dan Joseph, a.k.a. DANGEROUS is one of Vancouver’s hottest upcoming underground MC's in the independent Canadian music industry.

Dan first recognized his love for music as a young child, listening and watching his father play guitar. As he became older and more aware of his own musical tastes, Dan ventured out into listening to artists such as Michael Jackson, Naughty By Nature and Kris Kross.

Whenever Dan listened to this music, he naturally began to freestyle and added lyrics of his own to the beats. He tried out some of his rhymes on friends and family and they all seemed to enjoy it very much! This led his family to enter him in the Star Search Talent Competition in Seattle Washington to give him a taste of performance. Dan found something that he really enjoyed and something that he was good at.

Despite his new- found talent, Dan wasn’t certain about what he wanted to do for a career. He later pursued an acting career in Vancouver's Hollywood North and when that didn’t pan out as he had hoped for, he returned to his first and original love…music. It was at the right time to! The Canadian Hip Hop market was just starting to become recognized and he knew it was now or never. To prepare for a career as a Canadian MC, Dan studied the Canadian music artists. Saukrates, the Rascalz and Julie Black became an inspiration to Dan and empowered him to continue with his dream.

With the help of a few friends and the use of a studio, Dan started to produce his own beats and record his lyrics. He entered local rap competitions for MC's and seemed to impress his younger audiences wherever he performed. After years of practice, the studio now evolved into what is known as the “CRIB”. The studio became a place where Dan would build his music career, start his own business, and help young people in the community to come out and practice their talent.

Just recently, Dangerous recorded a self- produced album entitled, "The DANGEROUS MC”. This album includes 16 hot music rap tracks with a message for the youth. Every song on this album is different. It can be best described as what Dan likes to call “complex poetry”.
The album is available in stores locally in Vancouver, BC and is also available worldwide via an online distributor. If you enjoy rap with a message, that is original and you are open-minded – you will definitely enjoy this album.

In addition to a successful album release Dangerous has secured a management contract with GTPD MUSIC an international artist development company that promotes unsigned talent. "When D came through our door, we knew he had what it takes to make it big in this industry" says, President and Owner M Williams, GTPD MUSIC. "Dan not only has the look but the right attitude drive and ambition."

For fans who want to follow Dangerous’s career, stay tuned for a TV series soon to be broadcasted called Dreamers, where his tribulations and successes as a striving artist will be shown to a viewing audience.
