Album Notes

When some people need a life change, they get a toupee and a sports car. But what do musicians do?

They form the ultimate Groove/R&B/Smooth Jazz band that can only be described as "an aphrodisiac for the spirit." That's the story behind the dangling success! Five seasoned musicians with varied backgrounds got together to play music with the kind of soul that moves not only your feet, but your spirit too!

Chances are you have already heard these veteran musicians, as they have been making music for years with acts like the Isley Brothers, Don Mclean, The Shirelles, John Platania, Bernard Purdie and Guilherme Franco. But you have never heard them like this. The dangling success is smart, mature, and very listener friendly. One thing is clear, the fun the band members have is contagious, and the listener is quick to join in.

The Dangling Success is the perfect blend of smooth jazz and R&B. The band, the Dangling Success, is not only musically delightful and passionate, but it has a devilishly witty side as well.

Listen to what people say:
"Nice, smooth jazz with a definite edge!" is how Bob Putignano of WFDU-FM, 89.1, which transmits to the NYC metro area, said when he added “Lipstick Marks” to his playlist.

Frank Todd of WJFN-FM, Long Island, NY, said the reason he chose the band was, "I know how tough it is to make good music. Plus I am a long time fan of David Sanborn, and the Dangling Success has a similar sound."

Jeffery Rubin, owner of Banana Peel Radio in British Columbia, Canada, simply told us "we love your music!"

"The classy tradition of dinner jazz is making a temporary return, but don’t think it’s your Daddy’s dinner jazz. It ain’t! All at once, it’s smooth and sultry, yet energetic and electrifying." More Sugar

"Dangling Success blends smooth saxophone melodies with passionate guitar grooves and foot-tapping, danceable backbeats." The Poughkeepsie Journal

" as people sat … listening to the music, they were transported away, even if only temporarily ... It was certainly the best place to be that night." The Lincoln Eagle

What an outstanding album. The term Smooth Jazz does not do this material justice. It's smooth play - but with high energy and a super groove. The material is top notch and so are these performances. These players could hang with any band on the planet. Great stuff all around. You'll love it. And - if you live somewhere between NYC and the Hudson Valley, do yourself a favor - and catch them live. You're in for a very big treat.

”Warning! this music is an aphrodisiac for the spirit!” The Dangling Success’ website reads in bright red. I personally wouldn’t limit its effects to just the spirit, however. The tunes on the debut release CHILLED CHAMPAGNE may cut into sales of Viagra and Cialis! Radio agrees, as they lavish the following comments upon the recording: “Smooth Jazz with a definite edge.” “It’s smooth and sultry, yet energetic and electrifying.” “A unique sound that’s fresh and will really perk up our listeners’ ears!” What’s getting everybody so excited about this Hudson River Valley, NY based Smooth groove band? You’ll clearly hear the answer when you check out tracks like “Lipstick Marks,” “Arabian Nights,” and “Chillin.” Mark “Dr. Sax” Neikrowitz and his compadres, guitarist Gioron Wilkins, Sr., bassist Mike McDonough, drummer/percussionist Paul Rossman, and keyboardist Daniel Odescalchi have got it goin’ on with this set of nine groove-laden originals. We hear their live shows are events to behold, as they leap onto tables and dance with the crowd while performing! I can’t wait for this album to be the catalyst for a national tour. The Dangling Success’ CHILLED CHAMPAGNE is big fun for the summer, and it’ll keep you warm all year round!
