Singing before she was speaking, Oklahoma-raised Mercer moved to Nashville to further her vocal craft by studying music at Belmont University. Degree in tow, Danica recently recorded her EP Avelut at Sputnik Sound under the illustrious Andrew Osenga. With lamentations and moving highlights such as a powerful ode to Cash's first wife in "Vivian," Avelut is a strong first impression, and surely a sign of things to come.
