Album Notes

The anticipated follow-up to "Ya Ya" (2006), has become a feast of blues and roots music. The title song song "Muddy Days" opens the album with an explosion of flute riffs from jazzgreat Guttorm Guttormsen. The traditional "If I Had My Way" has a desert feel to it and features rhythm master Stig Sjøstrøm on percussion. "My Indian Red" and "Lay My Burden Down" feature a full brass band and add some New Orleans flavour to the mix. "Big Road Blues", "Cross Eyed Pete" and "Shortenin' Bread" are rough deltablues tunes with drums and slideguitar.
Fans of Dr. John, Anders Osborne, Ry Cooder, John Mooney ,and deltablues and New Orleans music in general, will love this CD.
