Latest News - Hollywood Flower is nominated for 2 2010 GMA Covenant Awards!!! When I headed down to California to perform at Jason Gogo’s “Immortal” show last June I had no idea how much LA would inspire me. Deciding to go down a week early I had planned to perform at some acoustic open mic venues and explore Hollywood. I woke in my suite on the first Hollywood morning, suddenly set-up my recording equipment and began to play. What came off the fret board was beautiful, fresh and inspiring. I spent the next days recording the tracks that have become “Hollywood Flower”. I decided to travel around LA and record my performances in a variety of locations: Wood – in the Hollywood Guitar Centre’s Vintage Acoustic room beside a very rare old Martin, Higher – at the top of one of the Hollywood Hills amongst dogs and hikers, My Father’s Hand – sitting in a tree in the backyard, Breakfast with Friends and Lovers – sitting around the breakfast table with Viviane, Amber and Jason, on the train to San Diego, on a beach, at the airport. Every spontaneous composition resulted from my interaction to the people and the environment. My heart opened up in the amazing Los Angeles artistic climate like a beautiful, exotic flower – my Hollywood Flower.
