This album is a hybrid of 80's pop, Joni and Beatles LPs, and classical piano. Some of my mom's church folk group probably snuck in there, too (they used to rehearse in the living room with their guitars.) I am not concerned about "making it," or about competing with a superficial spin. I like my music for what it is: a true story with an original soundtrack. Another album is on its way soon. This CD is remarkable in its truth, skill and sheer beauty. Weaving her voice against intricate piano lines, she creates an aural tapestry. Her lyrics are hopeful and healing. Compared to other singer/songwriters-- she's in another class. Read more...
