As a radio promoter, and a lover of music, I'm frequently asked for my impressions of and comments about artists and musicians. With regard to Dan Mason, I've had the opportunity to listen to his studio work, and completed recordings. Dan is a gifted songwriter and performer producing straight forward lyrics and catchy melodies delivered with his signature country style.

Dan has enormous support among both his cross-Canada fans and his peers. His original songs are heartfelt, intensely compelling and often humorous. This is a unique and sophisticated talent with a promising future who will continue to reward and delight his fans.

Dan's Album, "One of the Girls" Gets a Review

"The single, 'One of the Girls' , off the "One of the Girls" album, is a tongue-in-cheek look at what can happen to a guy when he works with all women, all the time, certainly sounds radio-worthy, as does the rest of the disc. Dan's music has taken a step up in the areas of both songwriting maturity and production with his second release, and although Dan has local roots (Isaac's Harbour), the sound of the album is anything but. This is, in part, to do with working with Tim Feswick (who also produced and recorded an album for Crash Test Dummies, among others) and with other guest musicians on the songs, such as JP Cormier, Andre Surette, Bob MacDonald and Cameron Dexter. There are tasty guitar fills, fiddles, and lap steel all over this venture. Check it out!"
