DAN MAY MUST FOLLOW US AROUND...
author: Dave Hillier

At first listen DYING BREED establishes itself, as well as singer-songwriter-storyteller Dan May as astute chroniclers, with a POV on all that should be or is "dead and dyin'" in ourselves and our world.  That may not sound all that wonderful but it is; for it is all envisioned in exceptionally well crafted lyrics and music, that engages the listener.  From the first note to the last you find yourself nodding in recognition, wearing a knowing smile, or laughing for truly we have seen, heard or "been there" in every lesson learned and shared on DYING BREED.  Be it lost generations, living life, the melodrama of girls and boys, dreamers, innocence, the Ritalins of life, beating demons-conquering pride, true soldiers, romance & romantics, enabling, the deification of Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson:  it all rings so true.  No way around it Dan May has been following us, observing, then he wrote it all down and sings it out loud on a seminal CD.  "The Weight" is my life set to music and given voice.  I recommend DYING BREED wholeheartedly and hasten to add, "Do not ever stop following us around, Dan May!"
