“Bring Our Loved Ones Back” – A Message from the Heartland

Roger Coleman’s Introduction At the Live Recording Session

Danny Cox has written a beautiful song, “Bring Our Loved Ones Back.” Several months ago, Danny and Bob Walkenhorst performed this song together at a concert here at Pilgrim Chapel. Afterwards, we all agreed that the power of this performance, the power of this message, was something that should not be confined to Kansas City. It should be recorded for the world to hear.

Our goal is to record this song and send it out as a gift from the Heartland – a message designed to soften the hearts and ears of the world. As Bob has rightly observed, “Bring Our Loved Ones Back” is not so much a protest of war as it is a prayer for peace.

Thank you for joining us in this prayer.

Participants

Those who have helped Danny put this project together include Kansas City’s own Bob Walkenhorst and Professor Ben Meade from Avila University. Ben and his crew will be doing the filming for the DVD. Sound engineer, Doug Kenworthy, will assist him.

Musicians today include Janet Jameson, violin; James Albright, standup bass; and Terry Bohner, acoustic guitar.

Our choir members, in addition to all of you, are Sunny Snodderly Cox, Jacob Snodderly Cox, Mona Snodderly Cox and Shanea Austin. Thank you again for your participation.
