Album Notes

By 19 I had composed 100 songs but was not satisfied in my heart. So I put down my guitar and began the most intense spiritual journey following my natural faith. It is too long and wonderful to summarize but it was everything I expected and more. Eventually I became disciplined, educated, conformed to society’s expectations, married and reproduced. For 30 years I was content with playing harmoniums, tamburas, mrdangas and sitars behind trascendental mantras. I am still exactly that same soul now gone back to my roots in music wherefrom much love and faith had initially appeared to me as a boy. My potentials have not been realized yet in the musical field but I am slowly determined, despite my full time job, to utilize every gift I have received and purify myself. This CD would not have been possible without Bruce Knowlton who played drums and produced it in it’s entirety. The final product is both easy to listen to, stimulating, and reminiscent of 60’s and 70’s musical art.

The quality of the recording is impressive. Each instrument, each vocal, is sharp clear and clean, with deep full bass. The lead guitar is amazing as it moves you into the music and away from reality. The album brought me way back to a time of great music. Time to get out the headphones and clear a spot on the floor.

This group of songs is like a modern addition to the art rock songs of the seventies. Dan is a thoughtful singer song writer with a message worth listening to. The more I listen the more I hear little nuances of lyric and music. If you always wished that British pop art bands had recorded more music in the sixties and seventies you'll like this album.

Listening to some of these songs made me feel like a kid again! Such a refreshing sound reminicent of Donovan, Marc Bolan, Beatles, Cream! As you listen to the songs, they take you on a journey just as a book does, only Danny's vocals are doing the work for you. There is no screaming, screeching vocals, heavy distorted guitar-it's the real deal. He obviously put his heart and soul into his work, combined with time and here is the finished product. I highly recommend it if you like toe-tapping melodies and taking off into the sunset !
