Album Notes

The Academy of Texas Music has three-times nominated Danny Singer/Songwriter of the Year. Produced by Terry Wilson, “Cold Wind Cold Rain” has an audio clarity and balance that is powerful. With each song, Everitt extends a certain gentleman’s courtesy for his audience, never relying on brute musical force to lift you up, or roller coaster musical drops to bring you down. Its evenhandedness buoys you and floats you along, through highs and lows, clear into the middle, more whimsical ground where the going seems far easier. This album’s collection of tunes subtly portrays Everitt’s career as a professional performing artist and songwriter for what it is and for what he is; a seasoned performer and craftsman.

There are exceptional musicians on this album. Here are just a few of their professional credits:

The project was produced by TERRY WILSON (bass and keyboards: has played with Eric Burdon, Jimmy Reed, Johnny Nash, Backstreet Crawler with the late Paul Kossoff)
BILLY WATTS (guitars: has played with Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Mojo Monkeys and Jennifer Warnes)
TONY BRAUNAGEL (drums: Grammy-winning producer for Taj Mahal and Eric Burdon, has played with Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Bette Midler and Ricki Lee Jones)
MARK SHARK (lap steel and dobro: has played with Bonnie Raitt and Zydeco Party Band)
TERESA JAMES (harmony vocals: has played with Delbert McClinton, Levon Helm, Kirk Whalum and Bonnie Raitt)
MIKE FINNEGAN (Hammond Organ: has played with Stephen Stills, Los Lonely Boys, Christopher Cross and Dan Fogelberg)

…great writing and masterful arrangements. Everitt’s diversity is the perfect kind, one of dynamic rhythms that don’t fall far from the core genre that defines the artist. Lyric-based with lines that matter, this album exudes comfort in every cut.

New Texas Country Rock!
author: HRDG
Yes, this is may be country music, or this may be New Country, or this may be Country Rock, or it may be just Rock. All these different labels that try to define this music miss the point! The point is this music Rocks! This is all original stuff and no matter what you call it; it is great music. The vocals are heartfelt and the lyrics all tell a story. If this is the stuff that is being written these days then the music never died at all but it is alive and well in Danny Everitt. This album proves that real talent will always find a way to express itself.
