Their new CD \"Smells Funky...Live\" is no exception. Smells Funky...Live was recorded over the course of five consecutive live shows using only ONE condenser microphone. No frills, totally live, free of overdubs and excessive mixing, and laden with beer consumption. Simply put - it is what it is; and what it is be ONE KICK ASS CD!

Mixed with originals, covers done in original arrangements and styles, in addition to an acoustic demo; Smells Funky...Live packs a mean musical punch.

For example - Dan Reading and No Relation tackle the issues that truly matter in the lyrics of their original songs. Tracks like Beer Goggles (a Dan Reading classic from his solo artist days) where the hook says \"You only look good...when I’ve got my beer goggles on.\" And then there\'s Lucky Johnson where Dan sings \"Lucky Johnson won\'t you fetch me some wood? I remember when we had it so good. Tonight we\'re gonna do our best. Every rumor will be laid to rest.\" There are not many songs that can claim to be more original than a song that chronicles the story of a young man’s coming of age and then dealing with, and conquering erectile dysfunction. Oh yeah, well there\'s this one song called Booty Resume\' that\'s a dedication of sorts. \"She\'s got a good booty resume\'...she\'s qualified...to be my boss. She\'s got a good booty resume\'...she\'s certified...to get me off.\" I guess that one\'s pretty original too.

Reviewed by indie websites/organizations, radio stations, blues societies, and fans alike, DR/NR continues to rely on word of mouth and self promotion to gain new fans one at a time. They\'ve been featured in newspaper articles in MD and NC and presently have online distribution via CD Baby. As a solo artist, Dan has enjoyed CD sales on three different continents.
