For this second DSB CD, front man and keyboardist Dan Sanfilippo of East Longmeadow, MA takes a step back as the primary songwriter and lets the talents and diverse musical styles of each musician in the band shine through. Drummer John Tomulonis of Wilbraham, MA contributed lyrics to over half of the 12 songs and bassist James Murphy of Monson, MA collaborated on 4 others. Guitarist Andy Laughlin of Chicopee, MA takes center stage on this album musically as shredding guitars and artful solos abound. The result is a lyrically and musically diverse collection of songs that flow seamlessly from light-hearted punk-pop to serious hard rock to retro groove-rock jams and back again.

The Dan San Band was formed in early 2004 while writing and recording their first CD. They currently perform modern rock and alternative hits along with their original music at local venues in MA and CT and have sold hundreds of CDs at shows and online. The debut CD from the Dan San Band featured Dan Sanfilippo, John Tomulonis, Chris Kozak, and Tom Ingram. In the summer of 2005, James Murphy and Andy Laughlin joined the band and writing for what would become Cockypop began. The band rehearses regularly in Wilbraham, MA and the CD was recorded and mixed by Dan Sanfilippo in his home studio in East Longmeadow, MA, and mastered at Specialized Mastering in Framingham, MA.
