Album Notes

Dan was born and raised in Colorado, spending most of his youth in the Rocky Mountains camping, fishing and boating. Singing has always been his passion and something that just came naturally. He learned how to play the guitar at 14 and has been finger pickin' ever since then. He has been performing on stage since he was 15 years old.

Dan was nominated for Indie Performer of the Year in the European 2000 Golden Music Awards last year after the release of his first cd "Reflections In the Night". All songs on both cd's were written by Dan and Becky who also produced the cd's in association with Eddie Carr and Interstate 40 Records.

Dan's new CD Still Kickin' is a combination of traditional, pop and modern country. Every song tells a story and Dan's vocal delivery takes you into the song as if you were there.

Dan's childhood as well as his adult heroes have influenced his music both vocally and in his guitarwork. Jim Croce, Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Glen Campbell, Garth Brooks and Steve Wariner have given Dan's music a special flavor of which even non-country fans can enjoy.

If there is one thing Dan has learned in the last few years is "Follow your dream. If you never try, you will never know what could have been. Live, laugh and sing every day."

I'm so glad I found Dan's music! From the invigorating kick of "Still Kickin'" to the somber verses of "Goodbye", Dan and his musicians take the listener on journeys through many facets of the human spirit. Through the whole album is woven the threads of perseverance in the face of life, both the good and bad parts. I'm also struck by the honesty woven into the lyrics, from the relationship-ending finality in "This Time" to the self-deprecation in "Denver City Jail". Great work Dan, Becky, and team! Keep 'em coming...

Still kickin is a great top tapping tune, fun to do a line dance to. Actually enjoyed all the songs on the album, and just loved the Denver City Jail one. Hope this artist does more as his style is refreshing and new. I highly recommend.

Dan, having met you as a judge at the CCMHOF event,, I figured I would check out this web site you gave me. You and your wife did a nice job of putting this together, and an outstanding musical performance as well. I will purchase a copy of this CD, and hope to see you again sometime!
